Staff

This staff handbook is the internal reference for MineRaze staff expectations, access levels, commands, escalation rules, and punishment handling.

If you are unsure how to handle a situation, pause, gather evidence, check history, and escalate to Senior Staff or Pacific before acting.

Confidential staff-only page Last source update: May 4th, 2026 ALL PUNISHMENTS REQUIRE EVIDENCE

Confidentiality notice

Do not share this page, screenshots, commands, logs, staff discussions, tickets, or internal decisions outside the MineRaze staff team. Public disclosure of staff-only material is treated as exploitation and may result in staff removal and permanent blacklisting.

Moderation rule of thumb

Never punish without evidence. Always check punishment history, act within your rank scope, and log every punishment in #punishment-logs with evidence. Major non-punishment interventions should also be logged with context.

Quick Staff Checklist

1Stay active: aim for 12–15 engaged hours per week across server and Discord.
2If away for more than 5 minutes while staffed, use /vanish; do not appear AFK in tab.
3Use /history before punishments and escalate repeat or complex cases.
4Gather evidence: screenshots, video, chat logs, CoreProtect logs, or other relevant proof.
5Do not act on cases where you cannot be impartial. Hand it off to another staff member.
6All punishments must be logged in #punishment-logs with evidence.
Staff Standards

Expectations of All Staff

These expectations apply to every MineRaze staff member, regardless of rank.

Be active

  • Aim for 12–15 engaged hours weekly across server and Discord.
  • Engaged means helping players, tickets, moderation, and active presence.
  • If below target for a week or more, post in #staff-chat or DM Pacific.

Do not appear AFK

  • If away for more than 5 minutes, toggle /vanish.
  • If doing stationary jobs like Cook or Crafter, move periodically.
  • Do not idle to meet hours; real activity can be tracked.

Do not abuse staff perks

  • Do not misuse permissions or commands.
  • If you accidentally punish someone, report it immediately so it can be corrected and logged.

Be mature

  • Stay calm, respectful, and professional.
  • No swearing at players, baiting, or public drama.
  • Flag brewing drama to Senior Staff early.

Do not scam players

  • Staff are trusted users and must never cheat/scam players out of items, currency, or services.

Pay attention

  • Monitor chat and tickets.
  • Respond to genuine help requests promptly.
  • If you have conflict with a player, escalate instead of engaging.

MineRaze is a priority

  • You may play elsewhere, but staff roles elsewhere need prior approval from Pacific.
  • Maintain an active presence on MineRaze and avoid conflicts of interest.
  • If unsure, ask Pacific.

Treat everyone equally

  • No favoritism for friends, townmates, or donors.
  • Recuse yourself if you cannot be impartial.

Do not leak information

  • Staff channels, logs, tickets, private messages, town chats, and internal decisions are confidential.
  • Private information may only be used for rule enforcement.
  • Never share staff-only information outside the team.

Evidence logging

  • You cannot punish without evidence.
  • Know how to record video, screenshot, and find chat logs.
  • All punishments require evidence in #punishment-logs.

Operational Process

Evidence, Patrol & Escalation Workflow

Before punishing

  1. Check /history <name>.
  2. Gather evidence: video, screenshots, chat logs, CoreProtect logs.
  3. Confirm your role scope.
  4. Use the correct command and rule number.
  5. Log in #punishment-logs with evidence and context.

When to escalate

  • You lack permission to apply the correct punishment.
  • Repeat offender or complex case.
  • Permanent ban, wipe, advanced rollback, or sensitive player dispute.
  • You are personally involved or cannot be impartial.

Patrol process

  1. Use /patrol in the relevant world.
  2. Observe quietly using /vanish, /gmsp, and /squaremap hide where needed.
  3. Record clear evidence before acting.
  4. Apply punishment within scope or escalate.

Killaura / autoclick check

  • Observe while vanished or in spectator mode.
  • DM the player a few times to confirm presence.
  • Move them slightly off the grinder.
  • If they keep swinging at air without reacting/replying, treat as cheat/autoclick evidence.

Staff FAQ

Can I punish without evidence if I am sure?

No. Punishments require evidence. If evidence is unclear, keep observing or escalate.

Should I use silent punishments?

Only use -s when punishing an offline player, according to the command notes.

What if I do not have permission for the correct punishment?

Apply the maximum action within scope only when urgent, then escalate with evidence and context. For IP advertising, stop the advert immediately in whatever way your role allows.

Can I handle a case involving my friend, townmate, or someone I dislike?

Prefer to recuse yourself. Hand the case off if you cannot be impartial.

What if a rule is not listed here?

Reach out to Senior Staff or Pacific to assess the situation before applying serious action.

If any information on this page is outdated, contact Pacific on Discord.
